On Wednesday, July 20, 2005 at around 9:00 p.m., Jeremy had a motocross accident during a night session at the track. He overshot a jump and ended up sliding into a fence post. A paramedic that was at the track and other parents and riders reached him quickly. He was transported by ambulance to Midland Memorial Hospital. He was talking at the hospital, breathing on his own, but had no feeling from the chest down and limited motion of his left side and shoulders.
